Created and founded by three equally experienced senior Directors, Steve Marsh, Steve Hunt and Joanne Longdon, Ener-Vate was formed in 2014 to supply specialist and focused services to developers of new build domestic and mixed use projects, City Centre schemes including large retro-fit heat takers and Energy Plant developers.
Prior to 2014 each of the Directors held senior roles within a major UK utility dealing specifically with the creation and development of District Heating Schemes. Consequently, there are many years of experience and deep industry knowledge available to Ener-Vate and each Director knows what is required to take an idea into a fully-rounded scheme that is investable and deliverable.
This wide-ranging ability, experience and knowledge of the de-centralised energy market has been recognised by our clients and has led to them engaging with us in other areas of de-centralised energy development and project management.
The partners at Ener-Vate have extensive, personal experience of successfully developing District Heating and de-centralised energy projects in the UK.
Our personable approach, passion and interest in developing solutions that will succeed sets us apart in the market. We are trusted partners of our clients and pride ourselves in becoming a valued member of the client project team in order to deliver realistic solutions to suit their requirements, budgets and expectations.
When developing schemes either from the base idea or from further into the scheme’s development our approach is to always be aware of the wider context that the project plays as well as the clear understanding of the client drivers. Large clients may have several stakeholders which require projects to deliver specific needs and so our approach is always to ensure that any scheme is developed in a way that can best deliver these requirements without over master-planning or reliance on 3rd party input. This position leads to better balanced development that can often offer the client a wider opportunity in the future.
Importantly, during any project development, our approach is always to be fully focused on risk and ensure the scheme is developed in a way that fully balances the risk to the appropriate party. By working as part of and being close to the client team we can ensure that masterplan and client changes which invariably occur during any scheme development are minimised
